GUWAHATI: Promising paddler from Assam Divija Paul brought laurels to the State and the country by winning the Under-13 Girls Singles title at the WTT Youth Contender in Puerto Princesa in Philippines on Saturday. Divija displayed outstanding form throughout the competition. In the final, she registered a convincing 3–0 victory over Li Ting Yu of Chinese Taipei to clinch the title. Earlier, the paddler defeated Kheann Smallman of the Philippines 3–0 in the semi-final, after overcoming Olivia Rellama of the Philippines 3–0 in the last-eight stage.
