BILASIPARA: Karbi Anglong were crowned champions of the 26th Gobinda Ram Mour & Banarashi Devi Memorial All Assam Senior Women's Inter-District Football Championship 2026–27, defeating Dibrugarh 2-0 in the final at the Bilasipara DSA Ground on Tuesday.
After a goalless first half, Karbi Anglong broke the deadlock in the 60th minute through Sonia Marak, who calmly found the back of the net. They sealed the victory in the 81st minute when Jirmili Kramsapi doubled the lead, ensuring a convincing 2-0 triumph.
MLA of Bilasipara, Jibesh Ray, attended the final as the chief guest and presented the trophies to the winners.
