GUWAHATI, July 25: The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) achieved another milestone in its efforts to strengthen cricket infrastructure across the state with the inauguration of a floodlighting system at the ACA Cricket Stadium in Umrangso, Dima Hasao, on Saturday.
The facility was inaugurated by Debolal Gorlosa, Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Dima Hasao Autonomous Council, in the presence of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Devajit Saikia.
The state-of-the-art floodlighting system is expected to significantly enhance the stadium's capabilities by facilitating day-night cricket, providing improved training opportunities for players, and enabling the venue to host more domestic and competitive matches in the future.
Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Debolal Gorlosa praised the Assam Cricket Association for its sustained efforts to develop quality cricket infrastructure beyond urban centres. He said the new floodlighting system would not only elevate the standard of cricket in the region but also motivate aspiring cricketers from Dima Hasao to pursue the sport at higher levels.
Guest of Honour Devajit Saikia congratulated the Assam Cricket Association on the successful completion of another key infrastructure project, describing it as a significant step towards expanding cricketing facilities and nurturing talent across Assam.
