GUWAHATI: The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) on Saturday congratulated Subhadeep Ghosh on his appointment as the Fielding Coach of the Indian Senior Men's Cricket Team, describing the development as a proud moment for Assam's cricketing fraternity.
ACA Secretary Sanatan Das said Ghosh's achievement was a reflection of his years of hard work, dedication, and excellence in coaching, and added that the appointment would inspire aspiring cricketers and coaches across the region.
"Subhadeep Ghosh's appointment as the Fielding Coach of the Indian Senior Men's Cricket Team is a matter of immense pride for Assam. His achievement reflects years of hard work, dedication, and excellence in coaching, and will inspire aspiring cricketers and coaches across the region," Das said.
Ghosh's first assignment in the new role will be India's two-Test series against Sri Lanka later this month.
A former first-class cricketer, Ghosh represented both Assam and Railways during his playing career. After hanging up his boots, he took up coaching and served as the fielding coach of the Assam Senior Men's Team, playing a key role in the development of cricket in the state.
Over the years, Ghosh has built an impressive coaching profile, working with several Indian teams across different age groups, besides contributing to IPL franchises and the Indian Senior Women's Team.
