GUWAHATI: Tokyo Olympics bronze medalist Lovlina Borgohain secured another Asian Games medal for India on Monday after advancing to the semi-finals in Aichi-Nagoya.
Competing in the 75kg quarterfinal, Lovlina delivered a dominant performance to defeat South Korea's Suyeon Seong. Utilizing her superior reach and sharp counter-jabbing, the Indian boxer controlled the bout throughout, sweeping all three rounds to earn a unanimous 5–0 decision.
With this victory, Lovlina advances to the semi-finals scheduled for September 30. This marks her second career Asian Games medal, following the silver she earned at the Hangzhou Games in 2023.
