GUWAHATI: Captain Sumit Ghadigaonkar and pacer Reshabh Dipak produced impressive performances as Charaideo Sunrisers registered a convincing seven-wicket victory over Jorhat Stallions in an Assam Premier League match at the ACA Stadium here on Thursday.
Asked to bat first, Jorhat Stallions posted 128 for eight in their allotted 20 overs. Captain Swarupam Purkayastha top-scored with 28, while Rajveer Singh contributed 22. Reshabh Dipak was the pick of the Charaideo bowlers, claiming four wickets for just 18 runs.
Charaideo Sunrisers chased down the target in just 14.3 overs, losing three wickets in the process. Skipper Sumit Ghadigaonkar led from the front with an unbeaten 56 off 44 balls, including five fours and two sixes.
Dipak then made a significant contribution with the bat, smashing an unbeaten 34 off just 11 balls, with four sixes. For Jorhat, Dyutimoy Nath finished with figures of 2/27.

GUWAHATI, Aug 13: captain Denish Das led from the front with a half-century as Barpeta Braves chased down Guwahati Royals' 137-run target to register a four-wicket victory in the day’s second match of the Assam Premier League here on Thursday. The win lifted Barpeta Braves to third place in the points table with eight points from seven games.
