PDMC honour ailing sports scribe Sarma

GUWAHATI, Oct 11: Veteran sports journalist and noted sports organiser Premadhar Sarma, who has been bedridden for a prolonged period due to age-related ailments, received a visit from members of the Pulin Das Memorial Committee (PDMC) at his Panbazar residence on Saturday.
Committee President Nayan Prasad and Secretary Kalyan Kumar Das presented a certificate of appreciation to Sarma, honouring his immense contribution to Assam’s sporting fraternity. The committee also extended financial assistance and conveyed their best wishes for his healthy and speedy recovery.
In a heartfelt gesture, the committee appealed to the Assam Government to take necessary steps to ensure proper medical care for the veteran journalist..
