Guwahati India Open Chess from Dec 21
Online Staff/GUWAHATI, Dec 6: The 7th edition of Guwahati India Open International Rating Chess Tournament will be held in the city from December 21. The tournament carries a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh will be hosted by Assam Chess Club at the South Point School.
Around 400 players from across the country with few players from neighbouring Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Thailand and Sri Lanka are expected to take part in the tournament which will be held in Swiss league format. The competition, last date of which registration is December 11, will be officiated by Assam's first International Arbiter Biswajit Bharadwaj.
