Published on Sep 27 GUWAHATI: Oil India Limited Football Club (OILFC) and Punjab FC secured their places in the semi-finals of the OIL Gold Cup Football Tournament in Duliajan on Sunday.
In the second quarter-final, OILFC defeated Kidderpore Sporting Club 2–0. Rituraj Mohan opened the scoring for OILFC in the 37th minute, before Timothi Narzary doubled the lead in the 62nd minute to seal victory for the home side.
In the third quarter-final, Punjab FC defeated ASUFII FA 3–1. Benjamin Lallawmawma scored twice for the winning side, while Omang Dodum added the third goal. ASUFII FA pulled one back through Johny Kom, but Punjab FC held on to secure their place in the last four.
