Alaaeddine extended contract with NEUFC

Online Staff/GUWAHATI, July 9: Prolific striker Alaaeddine Ajaraie has signed a two-year contract extension with NorthEast United FC. As per the new contract he will be with the club till the end of the 2027-28 season.
Ajaraie, joined NEUFC in 2024 season, has played a pivotal role in NorthEast United FC's success, helping the Highlanders win back-to-back Durand Cup titles. He also enjoyed a record-breaking 2024-25 Indian Super League campaign, winning the ISL Golden Boot and Golden Ball after registering 23 goals and seven assists, while setting the league record for the highest goal contributions in a single season. He followed it up by winning both the Golden Boot and Golden Ball at the 2025-26 Durand Cup and was honoured as the FPAI Foreign Player of the Year 2025.
Speaking after signing his new contract, Ajaraie said, "From the first day I arrived, the people at this club and the fans made me feel at home. We created some unforgettable memories together, but I believe our journey is far from over. I'm happy to continue wearing this badge, and I'll keep giving everything I have to help this team and make our supporters proud."
Head Coach Juan Pedro Benali welcomed the extension, saying, "Keeping Alaaeddine with us is fantastic news for the club.
