Seminar on Sports injury, anti-doping held

Online Staff/GUWAHATI, July 19: An awareness camp cum seminar on sports injury, sports nutrition, sports medicine and anti doping was held at the Bhogeswar Baruah Sports Complex in the city on Saturday. The event was organised by Janswaraj to empower athletes and promote a culture of holistic well-being in sports.
The event witnessed a turnout of over 500 athletes, sports personal, their guardians and coaches.
The seminar brought together prominent experts and figures from the world of sports to focus on crucial aspects that can either propel athletes towards greatness or hinder their progress.
Sports Injury expert Dr. Vineet Maheshwari, Sports medicine expert Dr. Dipankar Bhattacharya, Pain Medicine Specialist and Anaesthesiologist Dr. Surabhi Kalita Khanikar and Sports Nutrition expert Jasmine Islam, professor at Assam Down Town University, graced the event as resource persons.
President Janswaraj Bhaskaran Gohain, Treasurer Hildul Gogoi, Sports Journalists' Welfare Association, Assam President Pulin Saha and Assistant Director of the Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare, Nabajyoti Basumatari, along with several officials of the Janswaraj including vice president Pabitra Gogoi attended the event.
