Bud register big win against Titan in APCC
Online Staff/GUWAHATI, Jan 11: Bud Cricket Club made a dominant start to their campaign in the 8th Assam Premier Club Championship (APCC), thrashing Titan Club by 79 runs at Judges Field on Sunday.
After winning the toss and opting to bat, Bud piled up 230 for 7 in 40 overs, with S K Jnyanam top-scoring with 59 off 59 balls and Gaurav Thakuria adding a solid 49. Debojit Mahanta (3 for 31) and Kamakhya Singh (2 for 49) were the pick of the Titan bowlers.
Titan Club’s reply never gathered momentum as they were bowled out for 151 in 36.1 overs, despite Abhishek Gupta’s 42 and Yuvraj Tewari’s 28. S K Jnyanam completed a fine all-round display by claiming 2 for 25, as Bud sealed a comprehensive victory.
