Triranga cruise into APCC cricket final

Online Staff/GUWAHATI, April 3: Triranga Cricket Coaching Centre sailed into the final of the APCC Cricket Tournament with a confident 6-wicket victory over Cricket Club of Dibrugarh in the first semi-final at Judges Field today.
Dibrugarh’s decision to bat first quickly turned into a struggle as they were reduced to a precarious 4 for 30 early on. However, a valiant partnership between Rajat Khan and Mukhtar Hussain steadied the ship. Both players crafted crucial half-centuries to help Dibrugarh recover from the early setbacks. Rajat Khan’s composed 55, which included 9 boundaries and a six, was followed by Mukhtar Hussain’s 54 runs, featuring 8 boundaries and a six. Together, they added 76 runs for the seventh wicket, a stand that proved vital in posting a respectable total. Cricket Club of Dibrugarh finally bowled out 175 in 38.1 overs.
Triranga's bowlers, led by Hridip Deka, were clinical in their efforts. Deka claimed 3 wickets for 36 runs, while Sanjib Pathak was also effective, finishing with 2 wickets for 21 runs.
In reply, Triranga’s chase was built around a solid opening stand between Kabir Hassan Deshmukh and Kumar Prabhuji. The pair put on an impressive 103 runs for the first wicket, with Kabir contributing 55 runs, including 6 boundaries and a six, before falling. Kumar’s steady 46, which included 5 boundaries, kept the scoreboard ticking.
Denish Das then took over the chase, showing composure and confidence, finishing unbeaten on 44 off 38 balls, which included 4 boundaries. The side reached the target in 33.4 overs losing four wickets. Mukhtar Hussain and Rajat Khanclaimed two wickets each.
