Triranga CCC clinch APCC title

Online Staff/GUWAHATI, March 21: Triranga Cricket Coaching Centre (Triranga CCC) emerged champions of the Assam Premier Club Championship 2025–26, defeating Biswanath Blue Warriors on the basis of a first-innings lead in the final which concluded at Barpeta on Saturday. The match ended in a draw.
Batting first, Triranga CCC posted 223 all out in 69.1 overs. Himanshu Saraswat top-scored with a solid 78, while Kabir Hassan Deshmukh contributed 52 and Nihar Deka added 34. For Biswanath Blue Warriors, Pavan Kumar Majhee impressed with the ball, taking 7 wickets for 51 runs, supported by Bikash Kurmi, who claimed two wickets.
In response, Biswanath Blue Warriors were bowled out for just 66 in 31.2 overs, with Kuldeep Gogoi remaining unbeaten on 35. Triranga CCC’s bowling attack was led by a remarkable spell from Hridip Deka, who took 5 wickets for only 3 runs. He was well supported by Himanshu Rawat (2/16).
Biswanath Blue Warriors reached 6 for 1 in 2 overs in their second innings when the match concluded, handing Triranga CCC the title via their first-innings advantage.
The prize distribution ceremony was attended by officials of the Assam Cricket Association, including Secretary Sanatan Das, Joint Secretary Rajendra Singh, and Apex Council Member Mukutananda Bhattacharjya, along with representatives from the Barpeta District Sports Association.
